Do not let it go to waist
An expert wellness author became low crops the causes that lead to fat deposits and suggests some simple and realistic remedies have been described by different names: the middle-aged spread, dumbbell roll, muffin top and fat the more prosaic stomach. But for me, the most evocative symbol of unwanted weight gain is the jelly belly. Imagine you've just come home from a nice dinner with
friends and are preparing for the night. You detach the button of your jeans stretch, roll over the zipper and comes out your belly, quivering. This is jelly belly that afflicts many of us in our late 20s, 30s and 40s, we not only chubby but sometimes even those of us who are thin or skinny. jelly bellies are the most obvious indications of deposits of issues and unwanted fat in his body. Making their appearance worse is that they are sometimes generously sprinkled with stretch marks. Very often they have an overhang where tonelessly fat flaps and flops on the lower abdomen and balloons up when you lie.
The other area where fat deposits is the famous Double bobbly chin. But the difference is that while the cause of the double chin is almost always genetic and their effect is purely aesthetic, the jelly belly can have serious health consequences and justify a look closer then.
Why is getting a belly JELLY?
There are several reasons for this. The most obvious are, of course, eating the wrong kind of food coupled with a total lack of exercise.Jelly Belly does not begin in the mid-30s, but it becomes more apparent at this age. Of course, if you are pregnant, you have a big belly growing, but that is a cause for joy, not a cause for concern and this section does not apply to you.By 30, your wife -oestrogen production -Start and primary hormone progesterone slow promote fat deposits in localized areas such as the belly, chin and upper arms. Also there is an imbalance between the two hormones. Indeed, fat cells produce estrogen that now your body needs. This is also because the fat cells contain an enzyme called aromatase, an enzyme required for the biosynthesis of estrogens.
Other than hormonal imbalances, once you hit forty, you may develop a condition called resistance.Insulin Insulin is a hormone produced by our body which helps in digestion by breaking down the carbohydrates we eat into digestible sugars, more importantly, glucose. Insulin is a hormone made by the pancreas. It helps cells absorb glucose (sugar) in the blood to use as energy. Your body digests foods that contain carbohydrates and releases glucose into the bloodstream. Insulin, which is released when you eat, helps the body maintain a healthy level of glucose circulating in the blood for the glucose to enter the cells. This decreases the blood glucose, and the cells utilize glucose for energy.
Another condition that has a jelly belly as an integral component is the highly debated metabolic syndrome. This is a combination of five factors: abdominal fat (waist circumference greater than 35 inches), increased cholesterol or taking cholesterol medication, blood pressure medication or blood pressure and high blood sugar or sugar medicines in the blood. Metabolic syndrome is itself considered to indicate a hormonal imbalance, an increase in estrogen and cholesterol, and an increase in androgens in women -all that predispose a woman to deposit fat on your stomach, or form become apple.
The deficiency of the hormone thyroxine produced by the thyroid gland may be yet another reason why women tend to gain weight around their waist. It is accompanied by lethargy, fatigue and an inability to tolerate cold temperatures. This can be easily detected by a doctor with a simple blood test.
If one were to examine the causes mentioned above, it is clear that they are all interdependent. The good news is that corrective actions that help in the fight against one of them can also control other causal factors.
measure UP
Although some of the causal factors may require a more detailed test as recommended by doctors, the diagnosis that you have a jelly belly is really not that difficult. All you have to do is to measure your waist size the right way.All you need is to stand before a mirror and do the following
- Place a strip above your hip bone which is around your bare belly.
- Pull the band until it fits snugly around you without being tight or pinch your skin.
- Check in the mirror that the tape measure is level all around.
- Relax, exhale and measure your waist.
- Do not breathe or suck in your stomach.
Although the definition of metabolic syndrome is 35 inches, I tell all my patients to consider their 33-inch set personal guard to sit up and take note. Jelly Belly is on its way! If you fall into this category, I would recommend a visit to your doctor. Any test that you may need to diagnose insulin resistance, hypothyroidism, etc., can be determined by your doctor by simple blood tests after a clinical examination.
